The Arthur Grady Event celebrates the100th Anniversary of his circumnavigation of Australia by motorcycle and will be held on Saturday May 17 2025 at King’s Square (Walyalup Koort) in Fremantle.

Arthur Grady left on his extraordinary journey from outside the Fremantle Town Hall in Oct 1924. He returned in March 1925 to his starting point after a 5 month challenging journey around Australia. His journey was reprinted in full in the February Vintage Chatter but also can be found on the Club website at https://vmccwa.com/visitors/ist-motorcycle-around-australia/.

The commemoration will held from 9.00am to 1pm and display machines will be positioned in King’s Square for the duration of the event. The display will be an official part of the Fremantle Festival and machines cannot be removed prior to 1pm. Ken Vincent will be coordinating the display for the Club (Ph. 0439 294 366 email:bognorridge@yahoo.co.uk). Trailer parking will be available for those displaying machines. Again refer to Ken Vincent in this regard, closer to the event.

Club members are encouraged to attend this event. Those not displaying machines for the duration of the event will be able to park their machines in a special area near the Town Hall entrance on William St in Fremantle. Note William St is one-way and must be approached from Adelaide St.

Please support this event which celebrates a significant milestone in Western Australian motorcycling history and also a major 50th Anniversary event for the VMCCWA.
